Less than 24 hours ago I was drowning my thoughts in a bottle of second rate whiskey, bought for few dollars at the bar at the corner of 77th and Park Ave. Then, that call...
... I look vainly for my gun in my raincoat pocket, but all I can find is this damn cat-shaped statuette. This object may represent the beginning of all this story, and perhaps also its ending! Little Emily, I hope you are in a safe place now, because I won't be able to protect you anymore. The gun barrel is already too near to rise hopes...
The Story
The '30s. Corruption and decline form a background of New York, a city which has by now changed beyond recognition because of the Great Depression. Money is scarce, as well as justice and integrity. In his small office on Lexington Avenue, the ex-policeman and now private detective Jack Del Nero remembers his past before a bottle of whiskey. He is unaware of the fact that the call he is going to receive will drag him into an intricate spiral of events. The murder of his ex-colleague, Little Emily and the great eclipse are just a few elements of the tortuous path he has to run through.
